Last weekend, i joined an event organized by Satria Gti Club.
Actually, they extend their invitation to Satria Neo Club.
Me and gate decided to join the event.
How can i describe the event?
It was legen….wait for it…..dary!!!
Gate pick me up at my house around 730am, we moved to Palm Spring Nasi Kandar for our breakfast before head to MSI, the RV point. We arrived there around 815am. Few Gti members were already there having their breakfast. Short while after we joined them, Azizul called gate and asked him to pick up Nora at Gombak, since his car breakdown and he will be hitching a ride with another Gti member.
We spoke with Zaid and Naz from Gti and they agree to wait for us at Shell Karak Highway. So off we went to Gombak to pick up Nora. The convoy moved from MSI around 930am(dats what i’ve been told). They arrived at Shell Karak around 10am++. A short briefing with the drivers, and we start our journey to Cherating.
It was a smooth convoy without any incidents. The convoy was lead by Naz, SGTiC VP. We were cruising on an average speed of 110 -120km/h. Naim and Fiza who just confirmed to join us this morning manage to join the convoy when we reach Temerloh. Around 12pm, we reached our RV point, Gambang Petronas. A 30 minutes break and the southern and eastern Gti joined us there. We met Sallyx, one of our club member there, who is from southern and she joined the trip with one of the southern Gti.
From Gambang, we moved towards Cherating using the old Gambang – Kuantan Road, exiting thru Permatang Badak and using the SIRIM bypass. This time, they changed the zero. Jai from eastern Gti lead us to our next RV point aka our lunch stop at Chendor RnR. Again, another smooth convoy although the traffic were quite heavy since we are using the old road. We arrived at Chendor RnR around 130PM. We had our lunch there before continue the convoy towards a fuel stop at Shell near Kemaman.

A quick stop at Shell Petrol Station and some of us refuel the car. Gate was too excited on his mileage, where his half tank manage to travel 350km until he forgot to close his fuel cap. Luckily someone noticed about it. After a quick stop at Shell, we head to our destination, Holiday Villa Cherating. They had reserved a parking area for us.

Once they distribute the room key, we all headed towards our room. Me and gate were quite paiseh as everybody were moving towards the same direction while us, are in the opposite direction. Then we realize something, we actually got a chalet while the others got a hotel room. I was too excited, and due to that…we failed to open our room. We were stuck outside the room for a while, luckily gate manage to call one of the hotel attendant. He helped us to open the door, its pretty funny how to open the door coz it is actually quite old skewl style. New hotel would just use a card and swipe on the door, but this one is still using a key.

It was so hot that day, and we set the aircond to 16 degree. We were lucky actually, as the weather were good for the 2 days we stayed there. I took a shower and decide to just stay in the room as it is a free and easy for us till dinner, which is at 800pm. However, gate was too excited, since this is the first time he ever come to east coast. He wanted to go and see the beach. So we called Fiza room and told her that we going to the beach.

Received a call from Shahrin, the southern neo who was also on a trip at Cherating on the same day. They all stayed at Sanctuary Resort. Since it is quite near, we all decide to go there. We just car pool and went to Sanctuary Resort to meet up with the Southern Neo.
Around 715pm, we head back to our hotel to freshen up before the BBQ Dinner.
I would say, the highlights of the event was the dinner. It was a perfect Getaway BBQ Dinner. White sandy beaches, BBQ beneath the stars along with the sound of the waves. What more could we ask?

Lamb shoulder, minute steak, Pineapple fried rice, sate, sausages, sotong bakar, udang bakar, and lots more. These are among the menu we had for the dinner. The food was nice, although gate did complaint that the Sotong were a bit masin….maybe because he didn’t have any dressing to eat with the sotong. Not to forget, there were ice cream too…which Fiza was really excited at.
The SNC Reps…
While eating, they played a few video montage on SGTiC. Also they run a quick photo montage on all the pics that they’ve took earlier that day. After the video and photo montage, a simple speech by SGTiC VP, Naz and he invited Gate as reps from SNC to give some speech. On his speech, gate thanked SGTiC for extending their invitation to SNC. The next speech was from Fiza(not SNC Fiza) rep from Persona Club.
Next, was the lucky draw. Fiza(from SNC) manage to win a Dine for 2 @ Sheraton KL worth RM200. She was the only one from SNC to won the lucky draw. After the lucky draw finished, we had another session of cam whoring by the beach. Me and gate tapaued some food to our room. We all then decide to go to Kemaman to buy some cigarettes. However, we cancel it since the Petronas near our hotel is still open. Naim refuel his car and we got another call from Shahrin. They said they wanted to go to Kg Cherating beach. So we waited for them at Petronas. We waited for half an hour but still no sign of them. Since we all were very tired, we decided to call it a day and went back to our hotel. Besides, we need to wake up early since we are going to have a telematch the next day.

Went back to our hotel. Chit chat a while with Naz and Zaid at our chalet before we went to sleep. The next day, woke up quite late, around 9am. Shower and went to have our breakfast. I had an English breakfast, some french toast, baked beans with sausages. Around 10am++, we joined the other by the beach for our telematch. We were divided into 5 groups. There were few games such as Giant Slippers, Three Legged Run, Cherating War Balloon, n few others. However, the highlights of the telematch would be the Tug Of War.
Me and Sally were in the same group, while naim, fiza and gate were in a different group. Our group manage to get a by when we draw for the Tug of War, meaning that we will wait on the final. Which save us a lot of energy. Gate’s group manage to go to final, since their group consist of all guys….
My group lose to his group, we can’t say so much since there were 2 ladies on our group and they have none on their groups. Next was the SGTiC vs SNC for the Tug of War.

We lose to SGTiC…T__T…although we got 2 big guy, but hey, i got a ’sime astar’ hand…plus, we got 2 ladies in our team….hahahahahahaha….yeahh…losers always have their excuses.
The Telematch end around 12pm. We got 1 hour to rest before check out. On the way back, me and naz managed to throw Naim inside the pool. Thanx to Fiza as an accomplice, since she help us to empty naim’s pocket. But still, we failed to save his cigarettes and lighter. Sorry naim….
Rest a while in the room, gate were pretty much exhausted after 10 rounds tug of war. We packed up, and leave the room at 1pm. Had our vehicle check and hand over the keys.

After our group photo. We start our convoy to Restoran Sri Baging for our lunch stop. The convoy was lead by Jai. Had our lunch there before we went back. Utilizing the same route that we use before. Our next stop was at Gambang RnR. We stop a while before the toll, and Naz took over the convoy. 30 minutes break at Gambang RnR and we continue our journey back to KL. Our last stop was at Gombak RnR. We had another 30 minutes break there before the convoy break off. It was a memorable events for us. Thanks again to SGTiC for inviting us to their Getaway trip.
